Pretty random and has a little bit of everything. I honestly don’t care what people think of it because I like so many different things. It’s my prerogative.

I also had this cool idea that everyone should try and make me a mix cd/playlist for my birthday! But then I realized I could probably only count on like 2 of my favorite people to actually make me one. So I let this idea go. There is only one thing I really want for my birthday anyway.

Few things..

If you want to read about my adventure to the Farmer's Market today head on over to my Tumblr. It has a interesting story about the elderly. http://ohheynicole.tumblr.com

Few things I learned today:
1. Don't decide to walk to the farmer's market when its basically 100 degrees out and humid.
2. When you do decide to walk there WEAR SUNGLASSES no matter if it's cloudy or not.
3. If you decide to go for a morning run to burn off some extra calories it's probably best not to have a chocolate bar as a mid morning snack. Yes, it is advised to have 150 calorie snack twice a day. Chocolate bars I'm pretty sure, Do Not count. And it brings laughter to my mother who says "you were doing soo good why would you eat that."

Right now I'm going to have a healthy snack & some juice. I have a headache from the heat. Stupid.

Gummy Bearsss

I really want some gummy bears right now. I really love this one kind I can get at the store, I should really go get some of those. Cravings are so horrible sometimes. They make me actually stop being lazy in the heat and try an actual activity. It's been almost 100 degrees lately. HORRIBLE. I'm so not ready for the heat yet.

Friday night was so fun. Me and Kendall went and had a best friend dinner at this really great Mexican food place. It was so yummy & we had tons of fun. Not that we don't always have fun but this was an exception considering the time I have been having lately. And they played the best music ever. The only thing that sucked was having to watch the same Bon Jovi video like 2 times in a row. It wasn't even the best Bon Jovi song!

I should actually go do something maybe get some gummy bears. Hummmm

I'm feeling good...

Last week was horrendous for me. Suffering an emotional breakdown because of stress is one thing I never want to have to encounter again. I'm still not 100% myself because I say there is always still room for improvement & the fact that my mind will still continue to over power me plenty. I would really love to be under control though. This makes me sound absolutely crazy, that I am not, I just have never had to deal with this much stress before that I completely lost it. Easter was pretty fun & low key. It's harder now that we are older because we don't really expect to have egg hunts or even get easter baskets. So now it's more like get a chocolate bunny, go to church & have brunch. We had services in the courtyard this year, it was gorgeous. I had the wine for the first time during Communion. I was NOT expecting it to be actual wine, since I have never tried it before. I don't know why I didn't think it wouldn't be actual wine though since we learn that it clearly is. After services we went out to Brunch with my grandma & her new boyfriend. He is nice, I was thrown off when he wondered why I don't talk as much..Aside from being extremely shy & not really feeling good there isn't a whole lot to talk about? Haha I tried. I ended up making my grandma dinner since there really wasn't a family dinner scheduled do this his hectic weekend that I can't even begin to explain.

The picture I posted is of some art I saw at Barnes & Noble last week. I really wanted to buy a few of these and hang them in my new room. This one was my favorite.
Hope everyone is loving their springtime!

I'll Stop the World and Melt with you

Today I learned that I could have mailed a check or money order & my application would have been in on time. It would have been great for someone to tell me this 2 months ago when I was basically having a nervous breakdown trying to meet a deadline. So now they are only taking people based on I guess special circumstances. Stupidity & lack of checking into things is NOT one of them. I can only blame myself & learn not to listen to other people's experiences. Awesome. And I should probably have to apologize to the people at the bank for being so angry that they messed up my account and I wasn't able to pay for the app in the first place. Sorry.

On a much lighter note, I chose a few of the one hit wonders from the special that I enjoy a lot & have been listening to them for the past few days. Here are my favorites from the special enjoy.

I Melt With You - Modern English
I Ran - Flock of Seagulls
99 Luftballoons - Nena
Your Love - the Outfield
Video Killed the Radio Star - the Buggles
I Know What Boys Like - the Waitresses
I Don't Like Mondays - the Boomtown Rats
Electric Avenue - Eddy Grant
You Spin Me Right Round - Dead or Alive (I've never actually been able to listen to this song and not picture a wedding since I saw the Wedding Singer, thanks.)
Love Plus One - Haircut 100
Oh Yeah - Yello
Johnny, Are You Queer - Josie Cotton
Whip It - Devo
Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood
Mickey - Toni Basil
867-5309/Jenny - Tommy Tutone (I still want this number and would probably answer and say my name is Jenny when random people think it's funny to call. I'd probably also have a really witty response if someone tried to use the line "For a Good time call")
Take On Me -a-ha (I listen to this at least once a day, It's just that good.)

I have tons more that I like but those are just the ones I have on this mix cd right now!

Delaying boredom..

Are these not the cutest easter eggs ever? I would so love to have these if I wasn't 22 and still did easter egg hunts. I would find it extremely odd to 1. ask my mom & dad to hide these for me around the yard or 2. to be running around my backyard looking for these or just eggs in general. Besides, my parent's would probably screw with me and hide them in the most complicated places just to prove I am too old to be doing easter egg hunts. I can't even use my brother as an excuse anymore. He's 12, he is so over the egg hunt. He just wants a basket filled with candy & video games. I wonder what I will get..Slumdog Millionaire dvd possibly? That would be pretty great.
Yesterday my brother & I watched the Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80's. He really dislikes my singing of the songs because obviously he hasn't heard of most of these gems & want's to hear how great they are. He made some witty remarks about "Da Butt" most of which I shouldn't repeat via blog or at all in general. I admire some of the one hit wonders because they embrace it & think it's better then being a no hit wonder. I agree they should be proud of it even if the song is horribly cheesy now & they will never live it down. Hey at least people know who you are, even if it is from a shit song that was awesome 25 years ago. Most of the songs were like slow jams that I had to listen to when I was younger with my grandparents in the car. So it triggers a memory and I remember driving places with my grandparents hearing these awful songs but now as an adult I crack up thinking "I heard this song when I was little.." I also didn't realize then that the cheesier the better. Believe me if anyone watches these specials but me you will fully understand this. (Especially when they show the videos of the songs...talk about amazing quality.) I love when my brother turned to me and said: "Do you remember any of these" like i was an older person trying to relive my youth via 80's tunes. So I turned to him and said, "In the 80's i ranged between the ages of 1 & probably 3 how could I possibly remember these!" Obviously the times I heard these in the car I was far older than 3. I also didn't realize that song from Ferris Buller was an actual song, and a hit at that. You know the song I'm thinking about "Ooh Yeah", like when you hear that song your brain immediately goes to that movie. A movie which apparently my dad saw 3 times in 1986 when it came out. haha. Watch the specials even if you just want to hear silly commentary. I should be a VH1 Commentator. Someone told me they saw me doing this once. I should get that job. So if you ever wanted to waste time and say I love this song, or just laugh really hard. Watch this. But really who wouldn't listen to any recommendations I make.
I'm going to go have some Thin Mint Cookie ice cream on this warm April afternoon & then I should probably get down to doing some work.

Happy April!

It's the first of April! Sorry I will not participate in any April Fool's jokes. I haven't been able to come up with any since that one year in high school. I'm excited for the spring months & my birthday in a little over 30 days.

This weekend I am hoping that there is some fun times. I need my spirit's lifted for sure. I feel like I have lost my sense of self. And that is the hardest thing for me to have to deal with. March wasn't so great to me, maybe one week I felt like myself. Man, this blog is a downer.

I am trying to think of something to do for my birthday! I try to plan ahead because I change my mind multiple times. Give me ideasssssss.

Happy April! :)

I'm going to hunt down some sweet tart jelly beans (green is my favorite!) & have some tea.
