10 Things: February 22nd

First: 10 things for this week. Kind of feels pointless but obviously I continue to do them.
1. Iced Green Tea. yum.
2. Trying to make my A-Z band playlist. Basically Kendall asked me to pick my favorite artists from A-Z & one song of theirs I would/could recommend or that I enjoy. I don't know where she'd come up with this but, its such a task for me!
3. Thin Mint ice cream. I can't wait to try Samoa.
4. Samoas! I still haven't actually gotten any BUT I was thinking maybe if I continued to write about them someone would shell out 4 bucks & get me some haha.
5. Coconut Records. Such a great soundtrack to such a beautiful day. Either album is fantastic.
6. The Oscars. Say what? Yeah I actually enjoyed them this year! Normally they are the largest snoozefest but this year they were better. Probably not just because there was actually movies I really really wanted to win (Milk & Slumdog) but also because I actually had an opinion as to why the other films shouldn't win haha they honestly could have left beyonce out of the musical number though she was awful. ya I said it.
7. The weather. Yes, this carries over this week but honestly how can you beat 80's & high 70's all this week & next!
8. LeWar. You may ask yourself what LeWar is well I will tell you! LeWar is a twitter war between Michael Ian Black & LeVar Burton. Michael Ian Black is an extraordinary comedian who you may know from the I love series of things on VH1 & LeVar Burton is from Reading Rainbow. I joined team MIB because as many times as I may have enjoyed Reading Rainbow I feel MIB > LB but you don't have to take my word for it.
9. Jai Ho, the bollywood song/dance number from Slumdog Millionaire. One thing I really dislike is that now after winning best song it has been translated into english. I feel like it kind of ruins the feel of the song it should hold true to the nature of it. Just watch the new slumdog promos.
10. Sunscreen. This may be extremely weird but since I was a little kid I have loved the smell of sunscreen! Probably bc it reminds me of spring/summer.

now Second:
I spent a few hours outside yesterday & realized I really really like it but there is no possible way I can get tan & protect myself from the rays right? if there is someone tell me for serious because right now i'm considering a fake tan especially on my face (the most pale piece on my body which gets the most sun. odd) So recommend a self tanner or something ugh. I really want a bike like Miley's. Its just so cute mine would be much cuter. Some girls rode by my last week with bikes like that. I want one so bad! Someone tell me where to get one!

maybe i'm amazed

Okay, I think that I am getting some sort of revenge for thinking my brother's tooth ache was more fake than real. I woke up feeling feverish but every time I took my temperature it was normal then all of a sudden it hurts. My right bottom side of my mouth so of course I go look, what else is it but my wisdom tooth. Obviously they haven't been hurting me but now they are pushing through with more force. Now I feel like a baby teething. soooooo not fun so Frankie, I am sorry that I didn't believe your pain. This is not fun at all.

Today was an extremely nice day I really wanted to go spend the entire day outside but because of the earlier events I could not.

I watched the Oscars. I am so excited Slumdog Millionaire won. I love that movie so much. And the little kids are so freaking adorable. Especially little Jamal & Latika. I just saw photos of them at Disneyland! Sooooooo cute!

I better go lay down, feeling a little better. Maybe I will have some Thin Mint cookie ice cream. No seriously, that EXSISTS. I haven't actually been able to have any girl scout cookies yet :/ I do want some & Samoa ice cream. gah.

I got to this late again ugh.
1. Boys in fedoras, boys with beards or 5 o'clock shadow. boys with the above facial hair & fedoras win with me.

4. Checking Twitter constantly. Honestly, its an addiction.

10. Break ups. No, I did not get broken up with but I enjoy the trainwrecks break ups are. Now you may say to yourself, that's insensitive would you like people enjoying your breakup? honestly I wouldn't care. I'd just go shopping haha.

Wouldn't It Be Nice....

I honestly have mixed feelings about last night. I was in a great mood yesterday considering that it was an entire day devoted to love and the fact who should have been my valentine was clearly with someone else. Anyway, I went to Ann's for some chocolate fondu & champagne. it was fun. Then we went into Old Town which was probably a really bad idea considering it was all-star weekend & there was clearly going to be rise in the price of cover. So we went to Suede again. there was barely anyone there so we tried to go to Axis/Radius. 60 dollars to get in. fuck no. everywhere else was just as high too, so dumb. By this time I was just getting more and more upset. We ended up just going back to Suede. It was definitely crowded now. I just danced off all my fustrations haha. I even made friends with 2 ladies in the bathroom hallway with dancing haha. Eventually, I just went and hung out on the less crowded patio until about 15 cops come barreling by me & kendall and go running inside and eventually drag out people. what theeeeee I know. By this time I am just having a completely miserable time, I am exhausted and just am not having it. For my own reasons which honestly if it wasn't for Kendall listening to me rant while I drove her home (what a drunk hhaha just kidding) I would think that not one person honestly cared considering gee I don't know I spent most of the time just exiled awesomeeeee. Don't get me wrong I love going out and going to clubs but I don't feel making out with some guy the second I meet him is a good time & the fact he probably won't remember me or whether he was interested or not just doesn't seem fun. Its just more of an escape for me I guess, besides most of the guys are douche bags.

Wow, I was just honest there. Now i'll get shit for it, oh but not to my face BEHIND MY BACK im sure.

I better go call my grandma to wish her a happy birthday. Happy Sunday.

ugh Valentine's Day

So first off Happy Valentine's Day. I personally will be spending the day doing what else but cleaning...then I have an appointment later on tonight. No it is not a date although this boy is uber cute. Its making me quite nervous actually....Anywho, the other night my dad went out and bought some chocolates. I immediately ate the 2 chocolate truffles haha. That is about the extent of any Valentine's Day festivities for me. I watched the Degrassi Valentine's Day special of course, and thought it was completely cheesy when he played guitar outside Emma's window. Or maybe I was jealous because 1. This is completely fictional and no one actually does this or 2. because I really want someone to do that for me. Either play me a song (you have to be good at it no bad stuff) or do the whole Say Anything bit with the boom box over the head on my front yard. haha Anywaysss I hope everyone has a great day! Even if your single!

10 Things I love this week

Pretty much every entry for the past few days has had a count of some kind. Sheesh. Here's one more:
1. Anticipating the train wreck that is Valentine's day.
2. Lemonade. Reminds me of the spring days that are yet to come...
3. Sundance Channel. So many great things this week, I have actually watched 2 subtitled films so far! Also, Elvis Costello's show Spectacle.
4. Applesauce. I honestly think I have eaten this for pretty much every breakfast & snack this week. Im positive it kept me from eating the other crap I have around here.
5. Paul McCartney. No need to elaborate on this. If you know me, i'm positive this is no surprise.
6. Wristcutters: A Love Story. A movie I wanted to see a while ago but Sundance channel was playing it so I finally got to see it!
7. Rainy Winter Days.
8. CDs. Who uses these anymore? This girl. haha
9. Flight of the Conchords. This weeks episode was so funny. "What is your favorite part of the newspaper?...The stories about animals...escaping from the zoo."
10. Love Songs. How cliché for the week of Valentine's. But they are everywhere & you can't honestly not feel some kind of feeling when hearing them, even if its disappointment or anger ha.

I don't really like television. in fact, I mostly use it for backround noise..but this week I actually watched some movies. 2 of them about Sophie Scholl which were subtitled. They were quite interesting. Another one I watched was about the 1960s pop art culture/scene. The thing I still completely love about pop art was the fact that the art itself was actually something that people had seen a thousand times & yet when it is silk screened to a canvas it is GENIUS and is now worth millions probably. I love pop art, and that is one thing that I love about it. I can honestly only imagine people looking at the Campbell's soup can in a gallery and just being amazed..although they probably have a can of the soup in their pantry @ home and could care less about it. haha

I couldn't sleep at all last night so, I ended up thnking about Valentine's day and eventually ended up blogging a little bit about it on another blog. it cracked me up when I went back and read it and realized I should never blog with lack of sleep. Especially about Valentine's day! I seriously don't understand the holiday at all. Then again in 21 years, it has never meant anything to me. I always say id never want flowers. I wouldn't, they die. why give something that dies. Chocolates...I love a certain kind of chocolate and obviously I would never demand it because that's uber bitchy. honestly, I could be more cynical but everyone wants to know they are loved and cared about...you know what I am saying? There is one particular male out there, I won't name him because I will not start shit since he has a girlfriend...he knows how we both feel about each other & this whole situation seems completely absurd but explains how my valentine's day will be a train wreck.

1. My lifelong dream is to work at Capitol Records in LA. Has been since I was a child.
2. I have dreamed of going to UCLA since I was in middle school my Aunt believed it was my future college. I probably would be there if my Aunt hadn't died.
3. I don't actually have a favorite song.
4. I have strict thoughts on saying I "love" that song, I "like" that song or that is my "favorite" song.
5. Music is a very large part of what I look for in a boyfriend. (There are somethings I just can't stand)
6. Most of the books on my shelf are music oriented, about musicians or eastern religions.(Hinduism etc)
7. The first concert I ever went to was the Spice Girls @ age 10.
8. My first crush was on Paul Rudd after I watched him in Clueless when I was 9. (People know I still crush on him)
9. I loved Clueless so much my parents were determined my first car would be a white Jeep like Cher's.
10. I believe I had to have had a past life somewhere in the 60's.
11. I once broke down and cried while listening to "Don't Go Away" by Oasis.
12. I admire my little sister more than she knows.
13. I am allergic to pink dyes in medicines. (random I know)
14. The first cd I ever got was in fourth grade from my dad, it was a Smashing Pumpkins album.
15. In the first grade I left school by myself and walked to my moms work a mile away. it was the middle of the day.

22. I have "It's a Small World" on a Vinyl. I bought it 2 years ago @ a used book store. It only plays that song over and over.
23. I had a 50s style sock hop for a birthday party when I was little. My mom made me a poodle skirt by hand for it.
24. I have 3 copies of the same Led Zeppelin album. (idk why)
25. I long to be a Rock and Roll Muse and inspire a love song that stands the test of time that will become a memory for someone else years from now.

imagine all the girllllsssss

Yesterday had to have been the most stressed out I have been in a while. My computer started acting funny and now im pretty sure its probably broken. Which sucks because I probably will not be able to get a new one for a while. Then later on when I went to pay for my app, something was wrong with my card. Shocking. After this I was fed up and just decided to hang out and be stress free. Went into Old Town again. We didn't want to spend barely any money so we just drank a lot a head of time haha. Oh the Tampico orange juice container & the party in the Chevy. After that we went to Suede. I think that's what it was called! there were tons of people and honestly all the guys were shorter than us :/ we bailed after an hour. It was only 12 and we just decided to call it a night. We tried really hard to take a photo of the four of us and eventually it happened. I was way exhausted but first we made a stop at mcdonalds haha where ann read every single item on the dollar menu making the guy wait a very long time to take the order. eventually, there was accidental "britney" shots...finding out "future husbands" they were such slow drivers. oh and my favorite quote "we could have gotten 2 PIES!!!!!!" on the way home im pretty sure that I made kendall laugh really hard when I was just talked abt how I could never do it in my parents house. haha oh that's why shes my bff she deals with that crazy shit.

I am excited for the Super Bowl today! Go Cardinals! And I'll get back to my "things Nicole really needs to get done but doesn't want to" list tomorrow.
